Catherine Linard, MA, CHt, LMT, has been interested in the healing arts as far back as she can remember. She entered the Ohio State University at age 16, majoring in Psychology with a Pre-Med emphasis. Upon finishing her undergraduate studies, Catherine moved to California and, while working in the organ transplant lab at UCLA, made the decision to pursue alternative healing modalities. In 1996, she enrolled in the massage therapy program at The Touch Therapy Institute in Encino. Upon completing the course, she began teaching anatomy and massage there, and eventually became Director of the school. With over 650 hours of bodywork training, Catherine specializes in pain and injury recovery, utilizing deep tissue massage, myofascial release/trigger point therapy,  therapeutic stretching, Acupressure and Reflexology, CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, and Reiki and QiGong. In 2000, while still teaching and studying therapeutic bodywork techniques, she obtained her certification in clinical hypnotherapy at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Tarzana. Healing is her passion, and she continues to add to her skills both through additional classes and extensive self-study. Today, Catherine weaves her knowledge of anatomy, physiology and psychology into her bodywork and hypnotherapy, utilizing the body/mind connection to help people heal on all levels.
